How do I view videos?

There are a few different ways to view videos. To see a list of all the videos, start on the Spotted home page. Click Videos in the Horizontal Navigation Bar. Then click on the thumbnail of the video that you’d like to watch.

To see the most recently added videos, scroll down the Spotted home page until you see the “Newest Videos” heading.

How do I upload my videos?

1. Before uploading your videos, make sure that none of them are larger than 200MB. You may not be able to upload any videos that are larger than 200MB.
2. Click the Your Videos link under the Upload Now section at the top of any Spotted page.
3. Type the name that you want to give your video into the “Title” box.
4. You can add tags to your videos to help describe them. See Section 13 on page 6 for more information about tags.
5. Type a caption for your video into the “Caption” box.
6. Choose a category that applies to your video from the “Category” drop-down menu. You can choose up to three categories.
7. Click the Browse button next to the “Video” heading. There is a text box next to the video heading as well, but it is not functional.
Note: You must use the Browse button to upload your videos.
8. Select the video that you want to upload from the File Upload dialog box. Click Open when finished.
Note: The video must be one of the following types: qt, mpeg, 3gp, asf, wmv, flv.
9. Click the Upload button when you’re finished.

How do I email my videos to my friends?

Emailing videos to your friends is easy once you’ve logged in to Spotted. First, click on the thumbnail of the video you want to email. You can send a video while it is playing, or even after it is finished. Under the “Video Options” heading, click Email This Video. Use the text boxes to type in the recipients’ email addresses (you can send it to up to ten people), your email address, your name, and any comments you want to be included with the video. Click Send when you’re finished.

How do I rate videos?

To rate a video, click on the thumbnail of the video that you want to rate. Click the arrow on the drop-down menu under the “Rate This Video” heading and select a number to rate the video. A rating of 1 is the lowest, 5 is the highest. After you’ve selected your rating, click Rate to submit your rating.

How do I add a video to my favorites?

First, click on the video that you want to add to your favorites. Under the Video Options heading, click Add to favorites.
